Materials: Graphite pencils

A pencil portrait of a family friend drawn at her request. It's been a while since I've done any pencil sketches and I found the process of drawing it quite relaxing actually as it didn't require much thinking. Though the portrait took long, it was really more because of the paper's large size rather than having to constantly revise the drawing as in some cases. Something to improve on would definitely be the hair though. The disjointed strokes give it an odd texture and the highlights on top should have been better defined. Apart from a few other oddly placed highlights, I'm pretty satisfied with the sketch overall.
